Research suggests that 3 months is the average length of time it takes to develop a habit.
The number 30 represents dedication to a calling or task.
Here’s to embracing reality and effecting change, on your own terms!
Welcome to your reality check safe space.
The idea for a fitness community for women came to me in the shower a little over 3 months to my 30th birthday. Following a challenging summer, and feeling like I had just been going through the motions, I needed a morale boost. I could have resorted to other vices, but then I thought, “Why not do a countdown to your birthday? For the next three months, work on being diligent in certain areas of your life.” The areas I chose were fitness and faith. Not thinking it would garner any attention, and having absolutely no clue what I was doing, I uploaded a post on Instagram and was met with an overwhelming response. The call to action was simple: Create healthy eating habits and move more.
The message struck a chord with women from different walks of life. I created a group for all the shenanigans that would come to be. I quickly realized how favorably women fared in communities and how these safe spaces helped prioritize their well being.
Welcome to your new, favorite safe space.
Meet Rexie
Hi! I’m Rexie, the founder of 3to30Fitness, a fitness lifestyle brand with a message to teach and encourage women to lead healthy, active and rewarding lives. I have a knack for telling it like it is while making “fitness speak” easily digestible.
The brand’s message is one of inclusion and uniqueness: That fitness is for all, and healthy looks different on everyone. I give it to you straight (no chaser!), I am committed to debunking myths and not afraid to change my mind (I too, believed that breakfast was the most important meal of the day!). I emphasize the importance of cultivating and incorporating simple, repeatable, sustainable habits into one’s lifestyle, having benefited from this approach by shedding over 70+ pounds (but not before I tried and failed a handful of fad diets and quick fixes), and keeping it off!
The Traphouse, my (and now your) fitness community, is where it all goes down.
